His Holiness Living Buddha Lian Sheng, also known as Grandmaster Sheng-yen Lu, or affectionately simply as Shizun, is the founder and root guru of True Buddha School. True Buddha School practices a form of non-sectarian buddhism, with teachings from all four major Tibetan lineages together with Shingon (Japanese Vajrayana), Mahayana Buddhism and Taoism.
